how long before my event should i get a spray tan?
1-2 days before your event is best.
Spray tans take 24 hours to fully develop, you’ll be advised how long to leave your tan after your appointment to achieve your desired depth. 1 day will give you more intensity, 2 days will give a natural colour.
How long will my tan last?
Most people will get 7 days out of a spray tan, with a good tan-care regime you can get to 10 days of beautiful colour. Moisturise daily, to boost colour and prolong results use Spray Aus Tan Extender sold in salon.
what do i do to prep for a tan?
Shave/Wax 24 hours before your tan appointment so the follicles are closed and tan doesn’t settle in them.
Hydrate! Moisturise yourself in the days leading up to your tan.
Exfoliate well the night before, you can exfoliate the day of your tan but ensure you’re gentle so you don’t scratch or aggravate your skin.
Directly before you appointment ensure you have no makeup, deodorant (very important because dec can turn skin green with spray tan!), moisturiser (unless it’s as a barrier to dry areas like the knees and elbows) and perfume.
Baby wipes are provided in the tan room if you’re coming straight from work as is a moisturiser/barrier cream for dry knees/elbows/feet/hands.
will tan come off on my clothes?
Immediately after your spray tan some of the bronze layer will transfer so ensure you wear lose, dark clothing after your appointment.
For the first 24 hours we would recommend avoiding white clothing as the tan is still developing…white dress? Tan 2 days before to ensure no transfer.
what do i wear to a tan?
While you’re being sprayed you can wear a disposable g-string and hairnet that is provided. Feel free to bring your own underwear or bathers if you’d like more coverage or you are welcome to go naked for no tan lines.
Wear dark, loose clothing to leave, if the weather is on the rainy side long layers are best (winter button up pj’s are the best for this)
